Description

MCDB 131 is designed for the culture of human microvascular endothelial cells (HMVEC). It contains trace elements, putrescine, adenine, thymidine, and higher levels of certain amino acids and vitamins. It is typically used with EGF, hydrocortisone, glutamine, and low-concentration serum, with the serum concentration depending on the cell type. It can also be used for other cell types, including human retinal microvascular cells, hepatocytes, myocytes, and smooth muscle cells.
