Description

IMDM is an improved version of DMEM, with added selenium, HEPES, sodium pyruvate, and additional amino acids and vitamins. It is nutritionally rich and suitable for high-density cell cultures that proliferate rapidly, including Jurkat, COS-7, macrophages, T lymphocytes, and various hybridoma cells. It contains glutamine, no proteins, lipids, or growth factors, and typically requires the addition of 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) or serum-free additives for use.
