Description

DMEM is an improved version of Eagle's MEM medium, with four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins. It supports the growth of various mammalian cells. The glucose-free version contains no glucose, sodium pyruvate, glutamine, proteins, lipids, or growth factors. It typically requires the addition of 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) for use.
