Description

This is an improved minimum essential medium (MEM) containing insulin, transferrin, hypoxanthine, thymidine, and trace elements. These additional components reduce serum addition by at least 50% without changing cell growth rate or morphology. It is suitable for various suspended and adherent mammalian cells, including Sp2, AE-1, CHO, BHK-21, HEK, and primary fibroblasts.
