Advanced DMEM/F-12 is a widely used basic medium supplemented with ethanolamine, glutathione, ascorbic acid, insulin, transferrin, bovine serum albumin, and various trace elements. It allows for the cultivation of mammalian cells with reduced fetal bovine serum (FBS) addition, reducing serum requirements by 50-90% without affecting cell growth rate or morphology. It is suitable for cells such as MRC-5, SP2, Vero, WI-38, and Jurkat.
