Pluripotin inhibits both Ras GTPase-activating protein and extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 . Inhibition of RasGAP increases Ras signaling via the PI3-kinase pathway which promotes self-renewal, whereas inhibition of ERK1 blocks differentiation.
