Description

Oleic Acid is a mono-unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. It can reduce energy demand in cell culture. Oleic Acid gas anti-inflammatory properties. It can promote glucose uptake in astrocytes and aid in neural cell proliferation. Oleic Acid also plays an essential role in axonal growth and neuronal clustering. It can be used as a fatty acid source added in the medium for primary hepatocyte culture. Methyl-β-cylodextrin binding can improve the solubility and delivery of Oleic Acid in cell culture media.
