Linoleic Acid (LA) is a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid. It is an essential fatty acid for humans. LA is the synthesis precursor of arachidonic prostaglandins and other eicosanoids. It can be used as a medium supplement for cardiomyocyte differentiation, endothelial differentiation and spermatogonial stem cell culture. Oleic Acid is a mono-unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. It can reduce energy demand in cell culture. LA and Oleic Acid are typically used with a carrier protein, such as bovine serum albumin (BSA), to improve its stability and solubility in cell culture media.
