6-Thioglycerol can be used as a selection agent in hybridoma formation applications. It can be phosphorylated and ribosylated by the same pathway as natural purine bases.

This product is a γ-irradiated lyophilized powder. It should be reconstituted in 10 mL sterile cell culture medium to prepare stock solution.
