Insulin-Transferrin-Sodium Selenite-Ethanolamine-Linoleic-Oleic-BSA Media Supplement contains 50 mg/mL bovine serum albumin (BSA) 0.2 mg/mL ethanolamine, 0.55 mg/mL human transferrin, 470 μg/mL linoleic acid, 470 μg/mL oleic acid, 1.0 mg/mL recombinant human insulin and 0.5 μg/mL sodium selenite. Insulin can promote the uptake of amino acids and glucose. Transferrin can bound to iron to nourish cultured cells. Sodium Selenite is an essential trace element. Ethanolamine is important for the proliferation of hybridoma cells.

This product is supplied as a concentrated solution and needs to be diluted 100 times to obtain the correct amount of supplement. It is prepared in Earle's Balanced Salt Solution (EBSS) without phenol red.
