Insulin-Transferrin-Sodium Selenite-Linoleic-BSA Media Supplement contains 1.0 mg/mL bovine insulin, 50 mg/mL bovine serum albumin (BSA), 0.55 mg/mL human transferrin, 470 μg/mL linoleid acid and 0.5 μg/mL sodium selenite. This medium is designed for serum-free cell culture applications. Insulin can promote the uptake of amino acids and glucose. Transferrin can bound to iron to nourish cultured cells. Sodium Selenite is an essential trace element. It can be used for the culture of cell lines and supplemented in immortalization medium for the production of "immortomouse" embryo cell lines.

This product is supplied as a concentrated solution and needs to be diluted 100 times to obtain the correct amount of supplement. It is prepared in Earle's Balanced Salt Solution (EBSS) without phenol red.
