Description
Prostaglandin E2, synthesized by the activity of cycloxygenase-2, is a lipid obtained from arachidonic acid. It is the most biologically active prostaglandin. Prostaglandin E2 can control vascular smooth muscle activity and inflammatory responses. It has been used as a cell culture medium supplement for several applications, such as the co-culture of bone marrow macrophages and differentiated osteoblast.
