Description

Collagenase is a protease which can cleave collagen, a triple-helical protein. Tissue collagenases have three types and belong to the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family. Collagenase from Clostridium histolyticum has strong activity to digest collagen from both ends. It can be used in immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence and cell isolation.
