Description

XTT (3'-{1-[(phenylamino)-carbonyl]-3, 4-tetrazolium}bis(4-methoxy-6-nitro)benzenesulfonic acid hydrate), a tetrazolium salt, can be reduced to form a water-soluble formazan with an absorbance maximum at about 470 nm. It has been used for the assessment of cell viability and the study of cell damage.
