Description

Puromycin Dihydrochloride, produced by Streptomyces alboniger, is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It can inhibit peptidyl transferase. Puromycin is active against Gram-positive bacterial and can prevent growth of protozoa, algae and mammalian cells. It has been used in the selection of cells with puromycin resistant genes.
