Description

NK cells represent a highly specialized population of lymphocytes in the innate immune system and play an important role in the early immune response. Creative Bioarray's SuperEXP® CD56+CD16+NK Isolation Kit can be used to isolate CD56dimCD16+NK cells from PBMCs by sequential sorting.The CD56dim NK cell subset is highly cytotoxic even in the absence of stimulation, but has little cytokine production. The CD56dim NK cell subpopulation is highly cytotoxic even in the absence of stimulation, but with little or no cytokine production.

Cells isolated using the CD56 + CD16 + NK Cell Isolation Kit can be used for phenotypic and functional characterization of NK cell subpopulations for analysis of receptor expression, cytokine secretion, or systems of cellular interactions with other cells of innate and adaptive immunity. In addition, the cells can be used to study the role of NK cells in diseases such as hepatitis infection or cancer and during pregnancy.
