Description

Kanamycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic derived from Streptomyces kanamyceticus, is a broad spectrum antibiotic against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma. It can be used to select transformed plat cells containing the neomycin phosphotransferase or cells transfected with kanamycin B resistance genes.
