Description

Penicillin-Streptomycin (5, 000 U/mL) contains 5,000 units/mL of Penicillin and 5,000 μg/mL of Streptomycin.

Penicilin, derived from Penicillium fungi, can interfere with the bacterial cell-wall synthesis.

Streptomycin, produced by Streptomyces, can inhibit prokaryote protein synthesis by binding to the bacterial ribosome and inhibit complex of protein synthesis.
