IMDM (Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium), a modification of Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's medium (DMEM), has been used to support murine B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes, hematopoietic tissue from bone marrow and a variety of hybrid cells.
HEPES can help maintain pH level during cell culture.
L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid for cell growth, which can be used as the energy source of cultured cells and participate in protein synthesis and nucleic acid metabolism.
Sodium pyruvate plays a role of carbon substitute in culture medium and participates in cell nutrition metabolism.
