Description

RPMI-1640 Medium, developed by Moore and his co-workers at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, has been commonly used for the culture of a broad spectrum of mammalian and hybridoma cells. RPMI-1640 can be used in the absence of serum to support suspension and monolayer culture of many mammalian cells.

L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid for cell growth, which can be used as the energy source of cultured cells and participate in protein synthesis and nucleic acid metabolism.

Sodium Bicarbonate is used to provide buffer system and adjust pH level during cell culture.
