HAT Supplement (50×)

HAT Supplement contains 5 mM Sodium Hypoxanthine, 0.8 mM Thymidine and 20 μM Aminopterin. It is used as a post-fusion selective medium to selectively kill unfused or self-fused HGPRT-myeloma cells that are well adapted to tissue culture and hybridomas that lack HPRTase. Sodium Hypoxanthine and Thymidine are used to supply performed purines and pyrimidines for DNA synthesis. Aminopterin is a folic acid antagonist, which is used to inhibit the de novo nucleoside biosynthesis pathway. This media supplement can be used for the production of monoclonal antibodies.

This product is supplied as a concentrated solution and needs to be diluted 50 times to obtain the correct amount of supplement.
