Description

Insulin is a two-chain peptide hormone produced by the beta cells of the pancreatic islets. It is the main anabolic hormone to regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, especially the cellular uptake, utilization and storage of glucose. Insulin can be used as a growth factor in cell culture system of various cell types.

Insulin Solution from Bovine Pancreas can be used in cell culture applications and the recommended concentration is 0.5 to 1 mL per liter of medium.
