Description
Interferons (IFNs) are a group of signaling proteins belonging to cytokines. IFNs can activate immune cells, increase host defenses and protect cells from virus infection. They also have antiproliferative property. Interferon β (IFN-β) is a type I interferon and plays a crucial role in innate antiviral response and anti-inflammatory effects. IFN-β can be upregulated in presence of virus infection. It has antiviral, antiproliferative, immunoregulatory and proinflammatory activities.
This product is lyophilized from a solution in 20 mM HEPES, 0.5 M NaCl, 6% glycerol and 0.1% BSA.
