Insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) are vertebrate secreted proteins with high affinity to insulin-like growth factor 1 and 2 (IGF-1 and IGF-2). They serve as carrier proteins and modulate the biological actions of IGFs. Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2 (IGFBP-2) has a IGF-binding site and a thyroglobulin type-1 domain. It is widely expressed in tissues and can interact with both IGF-1 and IGF-2. IGFBP-2 Human is a 31.5 kDa protein containing 289 amino acid residues.
This product is lyophilized from a solution in 1× PBS. It should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL, and can be further diluted in a buffer containing a carrier protein, such as 0.1% BSA.
