Description
Insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) are vertebrate secreted proteins with high affinity to insulin-like growth factor 1 and 2 (IGF-1 and IGF-2). They serve as carrier proteins and modulate the biological actions of IGFs. Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 1 (IGFBP1) is a cysteine-rich secreted protein and it it the most abundant IGFBP in amniotic fluid. IGFBP-1 can bind to both IGF-1 and IGF-2 with equal affinity. IGFBP-1 Human is a 25.4 kDa protein containing 235 amino acid residues.
This product is lyophilized from a solution in 10 mM Sodium Phosphate. It should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL, and can be further diluted in a buffer containing a carrier protein, such as 0.1% BSA.
