Fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF-1), also known as acidic fibroblast growth factor, is encoded by the FGF1 gene and is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family. FGF-1 is involved in the protection of cells against stress. FGF-1 can be used as a potent mitogenic agent for various cells, such as myoblasts, vascular smooth muscle cells, mesothelial cells and glial cells. FGF-1 can also be used as a growth factor.and an angiogenic factor.
This product is lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution in 20 mM Tris, 1 M NaCl, 5 mM DTT, and 50 μg of BSA per 1 μg of cytokine.
